Job Training Programs

Goodwill has partnered with several federally-funded local agencies to serve as a host site for job training programs. These programs seek to support Oklahomans who have some of the highest barriers to traditional employment.  At Goodwill, we provide trainees with skills and opportunities for permanent employment beyond the training period.

We partner with Central Oklahoma Workforce Innovation Board (COWIB), to give Oklahomans temporary employment at Goodwill. We have a variety of positions available including Store Associate, Warehouse Worker, Janitorial Services, and more. Our trainees work at Goodwill for 30 days to six months to determine if it’s a good fit. If it’s the right path, they can then apply for long-term employment and receive fast-track placement into permanent employment.

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a job training program for older adults aged 55 and older. We partner with SCSEP to provide short-term employment to seniors to determine if a job at Goodwill is the right fit. These individuals will work for 90-120 days. At the end of the training period, many trainees are then offered permanent employment opportunities to stay at their training site.
