DONATE YOUR RECYCLABLES - Goodwill's Recycling Center recycles approximately 7 Million lbs. of goods including clothing, plastics, shoes, computers, styrofoam, paper, cardboard, glass and more each year. With your donations, we are diverting all these materials from local landfills and the proceeds help us create jobs. All you have to do is donate your recyclables to Goodwill at one of more than 35 Attended Donation Centers.
In addition, Goodwill joined forces with Dell Computers in 2004 to create a top-tier, technology-recycling program called “Reconnect.” Proceeds from technology donations are returned to Goodwill and help to support the mission to put people to work. In 2015, we also partnered with CounterPoint which provides the same services to companies and corporations.

SPONSOR THE PEACE LOVE & GOODWILL FESTIVAL
The Peace Love & Goodwill Festival is our primary community engagement event that benefits Goodwill's Youth Programs. Started in 2012 as a benefit concert, it has grown to a full festival with attendance of over 10,000. The annual festival is held at the Myraid Botanical Gardens in downtown Oklahoma City. Sponsorships range from $500 to $75,000. To learn how you or your company can become a sponsor for the 2016 event on Sunday, June 5th, contact the Festival Organizer, Linda Burgett at email@example.com or by calling 405-278-7119.
WE LOVE VOLUNTEERS! Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 405-278-7100 to find the best way you can volunteer with Goodwill. (Volunteers are required to complete a registration process prior to start. Please plan accordingly if you are wanting to schedule a group.)
Be a volunteer for one of the world’s leading non-profit providers of vocational services to people with barriers to employment. The mission of Goodwill is to build lives, families and communities—one job at a time—by helping people discover and develop their God given gifts through work and career development services. As a volunteer, your efforts will directly benefit the mission of Goodwill.
A volunteer at Goodwill is much more than just a person looking to give a few hours for a good cause. As Goodwill volunteers you will also be a mentor to our employees and trainees showing them what can be achieved with hard work and dedication. We hope in turn you feel the satisfaction of seeing people become confident in the work place and self-sufficient.
Here are some of the volunteer opportunities you may be interested in:
GOODGUIDES™ MENTOR - Do you want to make a difference in the life of a young person by helping them with a hand up, not a hand out? Our mentoring program cannot function without volunteers. We are looking for adults to be champions for our students. As a GoodGuides Mentor, you receive satisfaction in helping someone mature, progress and achieve their goals; personal growth through training sessions and group activities; personal ongoing support and supervision to help the mentee succeed; group activities, complimentary tickets to community events and recognition events and access to Goodwill's services and resources.
PEACE LOVE & GOODWILL FESTIVAL - Each year we need over 150 volunteers to make the festival a success. You can volunteer to be on a planning committee, or help a few hours on the day of the event. It is perfect for groups or students who are working to fulfill volunteer hours. To volunteer for the festival, register at peacelovegoodwill.org/volunteer.
JOB CONNECTION CENTER - Assist new clients and follow up with clients who have come to the Job Connection in the past to determine their need for future services and record their current employment status. As a result of their service, volunteers will help Goodwill maintain an updated record of employment assistance within the communities we serve. You will advise clients on the services available at Goodwill, update the client database, and provide job listings to any client looking for a job.
SPECIAL PROJECTS - Provide assistance to various departments or on specific projects. You will assist Goodwill employees on projects or during events as needed.
RETAIL VOLUNTEERS - Assist the staff in a Goodwill Store. This position is not intended to replace any Goodwill employee, but will supplement the paid staff as needed. Revenue from retail stores directly affects the services Goodwill provides to enhance the lives of many Oklahomans. You will interact with Goodwill staff to efficiently sort donated items so that they are ready to be placed in the store, and interact with Goodwill staff to place items on the sales floor.
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE - Assist with general office work. You will be the face of Goodwill as you greet visitors into the office, answer telephones, type correspondence and manage our filing system.
