Most of our revenue comes from our retail stores, which are filled with items donated by the community. We sincerely appreciate your continued support. Donating to Oklahoma Goodwill helps fund programs that provide jobs to persons with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

What We Don't Accept
We have to be careful about what we accept and sell in our
stores. We can't accept certain types of items, and even certain acceptable
items may be too dirty or worn out to be useful. We hope that when you donate,
you are doing so because you believe someone could use the item, not because
you only want to get rid of it. Please remember that if you donate something
that we cannot put to good use, the burden of disposal falls on Oklahoma
Goodwill and we are harmed instead of helped.
Here's what we don’t accept as donations:
- Children's car seats
- Beanbag chairs
- Mattresses and box springs
- Furniture that is dirty or worn out
- Pianos and organs
- Automobile parts, tires, batteries
- Large appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, etc.
- Building materials, including carpeting and scrap lumber
- Hazardous materials
- Medicines and medical supplies
- Encyclopedias and dictionaries
- Outdated and/or broken electronics
- Computer monitors
- Televisions
We encourage you to recycle your unwanted goods whenever possible instead of throwing them away. The Department of Environmental Quality has a list of agencies that will help you recycle and dispose of your goods in an environmentally responsible manner.
Here's a list of items we accept but do
not sell in our stores:
- Baby cribs
- Computer hard drives
- Cell phones
- Automobiles (must be running and in good shape)
It is always wise to check the Consumer Product Safety Commission's recall list before donating an item. This is especially important for frequently recalled items such as children's toys.
